Find out about our collection of aero-engines and propellers on a curator-led tour of our Object Store.
National Museums Scotland has one of the most comprehensive collections of aircraft engines anywhere in the world, some of which are in the Object Store at the National Museum of Flight, not normally open to the public.
Join Aviation Curator Ian Brown for one of our regular guided tours of the museum’s Object Store. Explore some of the collections not normally on public view and discover the fascinating stories behind them.
- Spaces are limited to 10 people on each tour
- These tours involve a short 5-10 minute walk from the museum shop to the Object Store so please dress for the weather
- Inside the building, the tour involves standing and walking, and there is a short ramp at one point
- The tour should not be physically demanding, but does require some mobility, although wheelchair access is possible
