Executive Team

National Fund for Acquisitions

Each year, around 150 objects are added to Scotland’s collections through funding from the National Fund for Acquisitions (NFA). Museums, galleries, libraries, archives and record offices all benefit from this funding. You can apply to the NFA for assistance with a purchase if you meet the fund guidelines.

Around 200 volunteers make a valuable contribution to our work at the National Museums Scotland. They help in many of our departments across all our museum sites and play an important role, increasing our visitors’ enjoyment and understanding of our collections.
