National Museum of Rural Life

You'll find plenty to fill your day out at the National Museum of Rural Life. We've got a 1950s working farm with dairy cows, sheep, pigs and farm workers on hand and an award-winning museum telling the story of the Scottish countryside.

What's happening?

Join us on one of our Evening Bat Walks which take place on Tuesdays until mid-September and spend the day Bringing the Harvest Home on Sun 12 September.

Let us know what you think

At National Museums Scotland, we are always looking at ways to improve and develop. That’s why we really appreciate your views to help us develop new ideas and provide you with an even better visitor experience.

We’re interested in your thoughts on every part of what we do, from our exhibitions to the service in our cafés. When you leave one of our museums, you may be asked to take part in a short survey. We’re also happy to receive online feedback after every visit you make to any of our sites.

Our survey should take just ten minutes to complete. Include your contact details at the end and we’ll enter your name into our free monthly prize draw to win £100 of High Street vouchers. Let us know what you think.
