National Museum of Scotland
What in the world is that?
All our collections have tales to tell. See treasures from the
edges of history and trace Scotland's story from fascinating
fossils to popular culture. For generations we've collected key
exhibits from all over Scotland and beyond.
Our exciting Royal Museum Project is now underway with around
half of the museum complex currently closed, including the
Victorian main hall. Find out more about our plans to transform the
site into a world-class venue, re-opening in 2011.

Let us know what you think
At National Museums Scotland, we are always looking at ways to
improve and develop. That’s why we really appreciate your views to
help us develop new ideas and provide you with an even better
visitor experience.
We’re interested in your thoughts on every part of what we do,
from our exhibitions to the service in our cafés. When you leave
one of our museums, you may be asked to take part in a short
survey. We’re also happy to receive online feedback after every
visit you make to any of our sites.
Our survey should take just ten minutes to complete. Include
your contact details at the end and we’ll enter your name into our
free monthly prize draw to win £100 of High Street vouchers.
