Tower Restaurant
"Uniquely for a museum this has become the hottest table in
Edinburgh."
AA Gill, The Sunday Times
"...food so sublime it eclipses the wine. Almost."
Iain Banks, The Observer
Spectacular views of Edinburgh Castle and the city skyline are
as attractive as the menu of James Thomson's stunning rooftop
restaurant and terrace, the Tower.
Open every day for lunch and dinner, superlative food, wine and
service have ensured that the Tower has become a regular dining
destination for visitors to the city and locals alike. Catherine
Zeta Jones, Vanessa Redgrave, Sean Connery, Joanna Lumley, the
Countess of Wessex and Helena Bonham-Carter are among those for
whom the Tower has become a must.

Committed to serving the very best seasonal Scottish produce
impeccably sourced and simply prepared, the Tower has received
plaudits from Michelin, The Good Food Guide and many other guides.
The menu features Angus beef, crustacea, seafood and game all
served in a relaxed and unfussy style.
Holding the rare Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, the Tower
has developed an international reputation for its wines and has
become a frequent destination for visiting winemakers. The Tower's
150 wines cover all major varieties, regions, prices and styles
with wines from fourteen countries. Over twenty of the Tower's
exceptional wines are available by the glass and guests are welcome
to enjoy the views with a drink on the furnished terrace.

Lunch and dinner reservations are recommended. Telephone 0131
