About Drawn Together at the Museum

Join us in the National Museum of Scotland this festive period and be inspired to sketch some of the fascinating objects in our collection. Whether it’s an old favourite or something new to you, there will be plenty to catch your eye in our galleries.

Pick up pencil and paper from our hub in the Grand Gallery and either head off to explore the museum or pull up a seat at our tables to sketch there. When you have finished, why not add it to our display and let others admire your work?

This simple activity is open to all ages and artistic abilities. Come along with the whole family or enjoy some mindful time by yourself or with friends.

Materials and Equipment

Basic drawing materials are provided but feel free to bring your own pencils and sketch pad if you would prefer.

We kindly ask that you only use pencils when drawing in the museum.

Accessibility and facilities
