Pay and display parking is available on Chambers Street and off-street parking nearby at NCP Quartermile. Further information on parking can be found at www.edinburgh.gov.uk/parking.
Where can we leave our jackets and bags?
Self-service lockers are located in the Entrance Hall on Level 0. The lockers come in three sizes which accommodate coats and small bags right up to small flight cases.
The dimensions (height x width x depth) of the lockers are:
- Small: 35 x 30 x 43cm

There is buggy storage available in the museum. It is located on Level 1 of the Scotland Galleries, behind the Kingdom of the Scots gallery.
Can we bring a packed lunch?
At the weekend or during school holidays, the lunch space in the Entrance Hall is free to access all day. The space is available on a first come first served basis to all visitors and groups.
During school terms, the lunch space becomes available to all after being vacated by visiting schools. Please ask our members of staff on the day to confirm when it becomes available.
Is there a museum shop?
The museum shops are in the main Entrance Hall, the Tower Entrance and outside Exhibition Gallery 1. We sell a range of items and gifts for all ages.
