About Members After Hours: Fashion and Style Gallery

National Museums Scotland Members can join us for a private and exclusive evening curator tour of our Fashion and Style gallery.

After the museum closes to the public, Members are invited to explore the gallery in the company of Georgina Ripley, Principal Curator of Modern and Contemporary Design, and Lisa Mason, Assistant Curator of Modern and Contemporary Design.

Georgina and Lisa will lead a 45 minute gallery tour, offering a closer look at the centuries of textile and fashion creativity and innovation on display in our galleries. Following the tour, Members will have the opportunity to ask questions.

This a rare chance to enjoy the museum and our collections away from the crowds, in an intimate setting, thus seeing it from a new perspective.

Good to know

Entry to this event is via the Main Entrance on Chambers St from 17:45.
Places are limited and are reserved exclusively for Members.

Museum entrances

There is level access to the museum via the main doors to the Entrance Hall on Chambers Street, the Tower entrance at the corner of Chambers Street and George IV Bridge, and the Lothian Street entrance.

Lifts

Lifts are available to all floors of the museum.

Toilets

There are toilets on most levels of the museum, including accessible toilets and baby changing facilities. There is a Changing Places (U) toilet in the Entrance Hall on Level 0. 

Borrow a wheelchair

Wheelchairs are available for loan at no charge. Please note wheelchairs cannot be booked in advance. On arrival, ask about availability at the Information Desk. 

Small mobility scooters are permitted inside the museum.

Assistance dogs

Guide dogs, hearing dogs and other recognised assistance dogs are admitted.
