National Museums Scotland incorporates four diverse museums, each of which offer a variety of unique filming locations.

Should you be looking to film in an iconic plane, at a rural setting or on a roof top location, we have a large selection of varied options available. We welcome filming enquiries of all types, be it a TV drama, photo shoot or major feature film.

Our museums have been used for various productions including the feature films - 'The Wife' and 'Fast & Furious 9' and television drama - Ian Rankin’s 'The Falls', plus a range of promotional photo shoots. 

We have a wealth of experience in hosting both large and smaller scale film and TV projects and all our location fees go back into funding the work of National Museums Scotland.
