Adult Workshop: Felted Basket

Join felt maker and artist Natalia Kerr for an all-day creative workshop for adults at the National Museum of Rural Life.

Make a felted basket to take home in this relaxed, friendly workshop and enjoy some time to make your very own felted creations. During the workshop, Natalia will show you how to make beautiful, hand-crafted baskets using locally sourced Scottish wool.

Felt is an incredibly versatile material that can be used to make a wide range of beautiful and practical items. This workshop is perfect for beginners and provides a great introduction to felt-making, giving you the skills and confidence to continue creating your own felt projects at home.

Natalia Kerr is an artist and felt maker based in Ayrshire. Her work reflects a strong commitment to sustainability, traditional craftsmanship, and the use of natural materials.

• Activities are suitable for beginners and all materials and equipment will be provided.
• Water, tea and coffee will be provided at the start of each workshop.
• All workshop tickets include museum admission on the day.
• Workshop participants must be 16+
• Please bring a small hand towel as we will be using water in the session.
