Description

Colour woodblock print entitled Miuraya Agemaki (Agemaki of the Three Shores House), depicting the kabuki actor Bandō Shūka I as the courtesan Agemaki against a large target with an arrow in the bull's eye, indicating that his performance was a hit, he played opposite Ichikawa Danjūrō VIII as Sukeroku in the play Sukeroku kuruwa no hanami doki: Japan, by Utagawa Kuniyoshi, 1848 - 1850
