Woman's parasol or umbrella, in green silk, edge of silk woven with a damask diaper pattern of zig-zags and diamonds, parasol ribs in whalebone with ivory caps on ends, supported by metal struts and a brass sleve running up and down the wooden stick, whic is carved to resemble bamboo, carved ivory tip and handle, ivory ring for closure when folded, with original sheath A.1958.573 A: English or Scottish, c. 1830 - 1840
