Physical description

Of compressed circular form raised upon three cast lion paw and ball feet with lion mask knees with entwined tails. The base and removable lid with corded rims, the domed rim surmounted by a chased ‘pineapple’ finial with a chased rocaille calyx. The body and lid with contemporaneous embossed decoration of rocaille C scrolls and trailing flowers with lattice work and fish scale reserves against a matted ground, the lid with additional basket weave and rustication reserves. Engraved to cartouche with complex mirror monogram below a coronet.
