Aidan has a BA in Archaeology from the University of Sheffield and an MA in Heritage from the University of Manchester. He has curatorial and finds recording experience through roles with the Portable Antiquities Scheme, The British Museum, National Museums Liverpool and the Lancashire Museums Service.

His academic and professional interests focus on prehistoric archaeology, material culture, and the influence of archaeology on early modern artists. Aidan has taken part in archaeological excavations and heritage projects in the UK, Slovakia, Germany and Catalunya. He looks forward to working closely with museums and the wider community to contribute to the promotion and stewardship of Scotland’s heritage.
