About Buddhism Discovery Day
This special study day will provide pupils with a unique opportunity to broaden their learning about Buddhism.
Delivered in partnership with the Edinburgh Centre for Buddhist Studies of the University of Edinburgh, Buddhism Discovery Day is a full-day event created for senior phase pupils and teachers of Religious, Moral and Philosophical Studies.
What will my pupils do?
This study day will include:
- A question-and-answer session with a Thai Buddhist monk
- Guided meditation with a Zen Buddhist priest
- Taster lectures from Buddhist Studies scholars
- A treasure Hunt for Buddhist objects at the National Museum of Scotland.
The event is free, but bookable. For further information and to secure your place, contact halle.oneal@ed.ac.uk.
This was an amazing event, thank you very much for organising. We all, students and teachers, enjoyed all the activities and learnt a huge amount!
