About Second World War: Meet the WAAF
Our costumed interpreter will showcase the clothing of a Women's Auxiliary Air Force member, discussing their feelings and experiences. From pride-inducing uniforms to warm sheepskin jackets, your pupils will explore both real and replica clothing.
What will my pupils do in the session?
This digital school session includes:
- A chance to see uniform, flying clothing and photographs from the Second World War
- Exploring how pilots who crashed in territory occupied by the Nazis were equipped and trained to escape
- Opportunities to interact and ask questions
