You are warmly invited to support our work by becoming a Patron of National Museums Scotland. The encouragement and dedication of our Patrons allows us to reveal the stories behind Scotland's extraordinary National Collections through remarkable projects such as the ten new galleries which opened to great acclaim at the National Museum of Scotland in 2016. Please join us and help bring the pleasure of discovery to every visitor.

A special relationship

In recognition of your support you will enjoy special privileges, including unique events, which bring you closer to the work we do.

Free entry, exclusive ‘behind the scenes at the museum’ access and invitations to major international exhibitions … our Patrons enjoy a wealth of benefits as well as a fabulous selection of tailored events.

You will also be invited to a range of talks, lectures and events throughout the year held in the spectacular surroundings of the National Museum of Scotland.

“We recently joined as Patrons and are thoroughly enjoying the experience. It has been a great pleasure, not only to see behind the scenes at the museum, but to have the privileged opportunity to view fascinating exhibitions after-hours and to meet and hear from curators whose knowledge and passion for their specialist areas is so inspiring. We look forward to many more excellent events - and good company - in the future."

Further information

For individual Patrons we ask for a minimum donation of £500 per year, and for joint Patrons a minimum donation of £750 per year. Donations can also be made as a gift on behalf of someone else.
