
About BSL Tour: Giants
Meet the colossal creatures that lived after the dinosaurs on a Deaf-led tour of 'Giants'.
Through life-sized 3D sculptures, skeletons, fossils and hands-on experiences, discover ten enormous prehistoric giants with tour guide, Babs Brown.
The tour will last around one hour with the chance to explore the exhibition independently afterwards.
This event is part of Edinburgh Deaf Festival.
On the day
- Please meet the tour guide at the Giants exhibition entrance on Level 3.
- You will need to show your BSL tour ticket before the start of the tour.
Good to know
- This event is Deaf-led.
- This tour will be delivered in British Sign Language only.
- If you require an English voiceover or support with hands-on signing please let us know by emailing communities@nms.ac.uk at least six weeks before the tour.

How to get to the space
You can get to the exhibition gallery by taking the escalator from the Collecting Stories gallery or the lifts in the Grand Gallery.
The entrance doors to the gallery are not automatic. They can be opened by pulling them towards you.
The exit doors to the gallery are not automatic. They can be opened by pushing them away from you.
Wheelchair access
There is significant space to use a wheelchair in the exhibition.
Some of the exhibition text is quite high so may be challenging to read for wheelchair users.
You can borrow a wheelchair from the information desks at the Entrance Hall and Tower Entrance. They cannot be booked in advance.
Seating
There are wooden benches throughout the exhibition.
If you require a folding stool, please ask a member of the Visitor Experience team.
Toilets and baby changing facilities
The nearest toilets are on Level 3 next to the Technology by Design gallery. There are standard toilets and an accessible toilet.
Baby changing tables are in both the female and male toilets.
If you require a changing places toilet, please ask a member of staff.
