About Eco Detectives
Join our Learning team online to explore four Scottish ecosystems through real museum specimens, quizzes, and digital microscopy.
Pupils will analyse clues, examine wildlife evidence up close and investigate a mystery poo to identify the animal behind it.
What will my pupils do in the session?
Pupils will:
- Explore four Scottish ecosystems
- Investigate real museum specimens from each habitat
- Examine microscopic details using digital microscopy
- Use evidence and observation skills to identify species
- Solve a wildlife mystery using scientific enquiry and teamwork.
About Digital Schools Sessions
Our Digital Schools Sessions bring the museum to your classroom. Our free sessions are led by our team of Learning Communicators and are broadcast using Microsoft Teams.
It was interactive, informative and was great for getting the children to think more locally about ecosystems. The children were engaged and loved to see the specimens up close under the microscope.
