Come together with other families in Edinburgh for a cuppa, cake and chat, supported by social enterprise Kin Collective.

New parents can join us for a relaxed cuppa, cake and chat with fellow parents in a supportive environment, facilitated by Kin Collective. There will also be a sensory play space set-up for the little ones at this event for families with children ages two and under.

Kathryn Lawrence is the founder of Kin Collective, an Edinburgh-based social enterprise that supports parental wellbeing in pregnancy and early parenthood, with a focus on physical, emotional and mental health. Kathryn has worked with many local parents to help them feel more confident and supported on their journey into parenthood.

This event is part of our Wellbeing Week, Monday 13–Sunday 19 May, to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week.

Find out about other ways to support your wellbeing at the museum.

How to get to the Events Space

To get to the Events Space please use the stairs or lift at the back of the Collecting Stories gallery on Level 1. Our friendly Visitor Experience staff will be happy to help and show you the way.
