Woman's ball gown of pale pink satin, bodice embroidered with stylised flowers and seeds, large elliptical topaz coloured pastes, chunky beads and raised couched threads and braids and scattered silver and gold sequins, designed to be worn with cape of matching pale pink satin K.2014.49.2: French, Paris, designed by Jacques Fath, probably Spring-Summer, 1948

Physical description

Woman's ball gown of pale pink satin, full length sleeves with zip fastenings at wrists, bodice with v-shaped neckline, with centre front zip fastening, garment bodice embroidered with stylised flowers and seeds, large elliptical topaz coloured pastes, chunky beads and raised couched threads and braids and scattered silver and gold sequins, the skirt is gently gathered at the hips and culminates in a padded, quilted band at hem, lined with layers of tulle, labelled 'Jacques Fath, Paris' on bodice interior, designed to be worn with cape of matching pale pink satin K.2014.49.
