Headdress (peue kavii) formed of black frigate bird feathers (otu) covering a crescentic core with ties of flat plaited coir. The black feathers are accented with red, green-yellow feathers at one end of the crescent: Oceania, French Polynesia, Marquesas Islands, before 1895
