Iron quern spindle from Niedermendig lava quern-pair X.FRA 1639 A & X.FRA 1639 B. Crudely-made square-sectioned bar that tapers from its widest point into asymmetrical, rectangular-sectioned ends, one of which is markedly longer than the other. Length 119mm.
