Wooden sheath for a sword (mandau or parang ilang), partly carved, ornamented with bands and tufts of coloured hair and fastened with plaited brass wire, and bindings of red flannel, decorated with bands and tassels of beads, and a toggle of the upper mandible of the hornbill: Southeast Asia, Malaysia, Borneo, Sarawak, Kayan, mid - late 19th century
