Painting, gouache on paper, depicting Krishna grappling in the coils of Kaliya in the River Jumna while Balarama reassures the watchers on the bank, from the Bhagavata Purana, with an inscription on the reverse: Asia, South Asia, India, Pahari, probably Garhwal, c. 1850 - 1860
