Side ornament, one of a pair, consisting of padded cotton band decorated with felt applique decorated with conch shells, Chinese coins and red fringing, worn by a nomadic woman to express wealth and identity, part of a woman's outfit: Tibet, Amdo, late 19th to early 20th century AD
