About Audio Descriptive Tour: Monkeys: Our Primate Family

Join our tour guide for an audio descriptive tour of Monkeys: Our Primate Family, with accompanying sensory resources and a chance to explore the exhibition after hours.  

This tour is aimed at blind, partially sighted and visually impaired visitors. It is most suitable for those ages 14+. 

Entrance to this event is via the Lothian Street entrance.

Museum entrances

The entrance to this event is via the Lothian Street entrance. There is level access to the Museum at this entrance. 

Lifts

Lifts are available to all floors of the Museum.

Toilets

There are toilets on most levels of the Museum, including accessible toilets and baby changing facilities. There is a Changing Places (U) toilet in the Entrance Hall on Level 0. 

Borrow a wheelchair

Wheelchairs are available for loan at no charge. Please note wheelchairs cannot be booked in advance. On arrival, ask about availability at the Information desk. 

Small mobility scooters are permitted inside the Museum.

Assistance dogs

Guide dogs, hearing dogs and other recognised assistance dogs are admitted.
