Join us for an evening of bright and vivid music from the Scottish Ensemble in the light-filled setting of the Grand Gallery.

In Concerts for a Summers Night, the Scottish Ensemble bring vibrant string music to open, light-filled venues across Scotland.

Returning for its third year, the tour marks that special period during the Scottish summer when the days stretch longer than nights.

At this summer solstice performance in the National Museum of Scotland, you can expect a programme ranging from classical to contemporary music, including the second part of a new commission from Irish composer David Fennessy.

Guests can enjoy access to our Collecting Stories gallery with a pay bar between 19:15–19:45 before settling in for an evening of superb music in the Grand Gallery from 20:00 – 21:15.
