Papier-mâché, gesso, the rounded end forming part of the case painted monochrome black against a light background with a sleeping and a standing dervish and two horses with saddles in a landscape, lacquered; the exterior of the tray painted with sprays of flowers in gold against a red background; the inside of the tray black.
