Petticoat

Description

Woman's hoops or framed petticoat, in linen with a narrow brown stripe, waistband in orange-red linen tape, fastening at each side, skirt in a narrow oval shape with six integrated supporting bands of whalebone, bands decrease in size from hem to waistband so that the hoop can collapse within itself for flat storage: British, c. 1740 - 1760
