Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh were at the forefront of the 'Glasgow School' style of art, design and architecture.

Collaborating on exhibitions in Europe and on domestic projects, the Mackintoshes created design schemes which encompassed interior decoration, furniture, textiles and fittings.
