BSL Introduction from Babs Brown

Join us for a BSL tour of key exhibits in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition.

Led by BSL guide Barbara Brown, tours will take place at 12:00–13:00 (FULLY BOOKED) and 15:30–16:30 (FULLY BOOKED). Each tour will last around one hour with the option to explore the exhibition independently afterwards.

Please note that the tours will be delivered in BSL with no interpretation provided. If you would like an interpreter or hands-on signing support, please email communities@nms.ac.uk after booking.

This event is particularly aimed at those who are Deaf/ BSL users.

Recommended age 8+.

The Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition is on loan from the Natural History Museum in London.

This exhibition contains images that some visitors may find upsetting. Please contact info@nms.ac.uk for more information. 

On the day

  • The tour will begin at the ticket desk outside the exhibition on Level 3.
  • A member of staff will be there to assist you on arrival.
  • Lift access is available to the exhibition gallery.
  • Wheelchairs are available for loan at no charge. Please ask a member of staff on arrival. 
  • Small mobility scooters are permitted inside the museum.
  • Accessible toilets are available and there is a Changing Places (U) toilet – for access to this, please ask a member of staff. 
  • Guide dogs, hearing dogs and other assistance dogs are welcome in the museum. Water can be provided.
