Description

Pile rug of wool of herati, or mahi, design with medallions and corner pieces over a repeat pattern of flowers and leaves against an ivory background, and with a border of a main band flanked by narrow inner and outer guard stripes: West Asia, Iran, Fars, Qashqa'i, c. 1860 - 1887
