Maths is all around us. We use it in our daily lives when cooking tea, playing sport or deciding whether to go for that impulse purchase. It shapes our society in our voting systems and the way we use data. It even underpins the art we view and the music we listen to.
You and your pupils can uncover the maths we take for granted and see maths in a whole new light during Maths Week Scotland.
Join us for a week of events and activities, with special events throughout the year. Hundreds of schools take part each year and we provide support for teachers, including a Small Grants Fund, training courses, online resources, and free events and activities.
Maths Week Scotland returned for 2021 with the theme 'Our World'. Highlights included outdoor learning in schools across Scotland, mathematical baking and amazing fancy dress outfits.
