The Twin Pioneer was built by Scottish Aviation at Prestwick in Ayrshire between 1955 and 1962.
Scottish Aviation was founded in 1935 at Prestwick by two Scotsmen, Lord Clydesdale and David McIntyre. In 1933 these men were the first to fly over Mount Everest.
