Scottish Aviation Twin Pioneer

The Twin Pioneer was built by Scottish Aviation at Prestwick in Ayrshire between 1955 and 1962.

The Twin Pioneer was a twin-engined development of the Scottish Aviation Pioneer. Both were short take-off and landing (STOL) transports.

Scottish Aviation was founded in 1935 at Prestwick by two Scotsmen, Lord Clydesdale and David McIntyre. In 1933 these men were the first to fly over Mount Everest.

This Twin Pioneer was operated by Flight One Limited at Staverton, Gloucestershire, for almost a decade as a photographic survey aircraft.
